Become a Tech Talent Champion

You become a Tech Talent Champion when you hire. Sign the Charter and post a real opportunity to get started: we showcase every signatory, and the badge is earned the day someone starts.

Two people in a friendly one-to-one conversation
We're not recruiters and there are no fees. Signing commits you to a conversation, not a hire. The essentials are enough; the full-picture section below is optional.

The Charter: three commitments

That's all it is. No fees, no obligation to hire.

1

Consider validated talent

Judge candidates on demonstrated ability, not CV history. When you have a real role, placement or apprenticeship, give validated junior talent a fair look.

2

Support your junior properly

Structured onboarding, worthwhile work and a named supervisor. We help you set all of this up, and our success manager stays alongside you.

3

Champion junior hiring

Display your badge, tell your network, share your story. The movement grows one respected employer at a time.

From the day you sign and post

Showcased

Your business, on the wall

Every Charter signatory with a live opportunity is showcased on the site, logo and role, and your opportunity is advertised through the whole network.

First look

Early access to talent

Shortlists of validated candidates before the wider network sees them, matched to what your business actually needs.

The numbers

We navigate the funding

Grants and incentives for hiring young people are real and rising, especially for apprentices and young people who've been out of work. We find what your hire qualifies for and help you claim it.

When you hire, you're a Tech Talent Champion

The badge is earned the day someone starts. That's what makes it worth displaying.

The badge

Badge and public register

The year-stamped Tech Talent Champion badge for your website, email and LinkedIn, verified on the public Champions register.

The spotlight

We promote your business

A Champion announcement on TechNative and Sussex Innovation channels, your story told through the programme's case studies and PR, and event visibility across the Sussex tech calendar.

The plan

Tech Talent Development Plan

A bespoke one-to-one with our development team: a personalised plan and talent roadmap for your organisation, built with a teaching and learning specialist during the placement.

The support

A success manager throughout

From onboarding to conversion, one person stays with you and your new hire for the whole journey.

Ready? It takes two minutes

Optional: give us the full picture now, get a sharper shortlist

Five minutes here means your first conversation starts with candidates, not questions. Skip it and our programme manager will simply cover this with you on the phone.

How are you thinking about hiring?

The Charter, three commitments: consider validated junior talent for real roles, give juniors structured support and a named supervisor, and champion junior hiring to your network.

Your enquiry goes to our programme manager. We confirm your opportunity is in scope (the role needs a genuine AI, data or cyber element, usually within two working days), and your role goes live: you're a Charter signatory, showcased on the site. Champion status, badge and register entry come the day you hire. Company name and badge only on the public register; details handled under our privacy notice.
